CapCapz: Capz for your Cap
I've got three sons. The eldest rides his skateboard everywhere. One day he turns up in an old fedora he found at a charity shop — such a dude. But it wasn't the hat that got me. It was what he'd done to it. He'd won this orange teddy out of a claw machine at the caravan park we were camping at, and clipped it straight to the brim of the hat. Then the other two wanted something to clip to their hat too.
Living in Australia, a hat is necessary to protect them from the sun — so whatever makes them reach to put it on, winner.
Watching all three of them, I noticed something. There's not much out there for groms to make their own. They're all unique, but they still want to fit in, still want to look like their mates. But they want the chance to stand out too.
That's where CapCapz came from. Think Crocs, but for your head.
How it works
Every CapCapz Cap is built to take Capz — the collectible CapCrewz, as we call them. Collectible crew members you collect, slap on, and trade. Crewz members come in blind bags, because groms love not knowing what they're going to get. New Crew members drop in on the regular, so there's always something new to unlock to keep their Cap looking fresh.
The Cap becomes part of who they are. They make it theirs. They trade with their crew at school. They collect the new drops, hunt the rare ones, complete the set. It's not just something that sits on their head anymore — it's something they're proud to wear, and no one else's looks the same.
Built for what groms actually do
This isn't a cap that stays on a shelf. It's built for the ride — days at the beach, hours at the skate park, scrunched at the bottom of a backpack between sessions. That's why we use tactical-grade material, not your average cotton cap. Made to take a beating: salt water, wipeouts, getting sat on, stuffed in a bag, and worn again the next day like nothing happened. Velcro made to withstand the rips and tears, over and over again.
What we believe
Groms want to belong and stand out — and that's not a contradiction. A cap should do both. It should survive a skate session, a wave, a bike jump, a scooter park — and give a kid a way to say something about who they are, one Cap at a time.
Why it matters
This isn't just a hat brand. It's gear tough enough for real adventure, and a collection you build, trade, and grow with your crew. Tough enough to keep up with them. Personal enough to be theirs.
